Customer Intelligence Manager

 

Overall Purpose of the Position

 

Customer Intelligence is a unit within the Strategy Department that focuses on leveraging customer data. A data analyst is needed to support in day-to-day data requests and the compilation of monthly and ad-hoc reports. The CI Analyst will also be responsible for enhancing the customer segmentation, and the coordination of the Banks market research activities. They will also be supporting the product development team and contribute to the overall bank strategy by promoting data driven decision making.

The analyst will need to bridge the gap between operations and IT and be able to understand both sides of the business. Therefore, the ideal candidate would have both technical IT knowledge and a good understanding of the banking industry.

 

Operational Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of monthly and ad-hoc reporting related to products and customers.
  • Prioritise customer data requests from across all departments of the Bank.
  • Support the planning and delivery of the Banks market research activities.
  • Collaborate in projects with other departments that need data guidance.
  • Identify and develop reports related to customer trends.
  • Effectively communicate findings through dashboards and KPIs.

  

General Responsibilities

  • ·       Demonstrate an ongoing interest in Continuous Professional Development with specific reference to Data in the context on the financial services sector.

    ·       Assist in the preparations of the Department’s plan and underlying budgets. From time to time there may participation in special projects under the instruction of the Chief Strategy Officer.

    ·       Ensure enforcement of Bank’s procedures and policies at any time.

    ·       Perform any other duties that may be reasonably assigned.

 

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies 

Mandatory

 Skill

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data manipulation.
  • Familiar with SQL queries and database concepts.
  • Able to design charts and tailor the right metrics to the audience.

 Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in an analyst position, or similar relevant experience analysing data

Qualification

  • Certification or Degree in Technology, Statistics, Finance or another relevant area.

Desirable

 Skill

  •  Ability to design interactive dashboards using Tableau or PowerBI

Experience

  •  Experience at an analytical position within a financial institution.
