Legal Services Manager

 

Overall Purpose of the Position

The Administration officer Court Management Services shall provide assistance to the officials in the Court Management Services Unit in the undertaking of legal duties on behalf of the Bank.

 

Operational Responsibilities

  •        To administer and manage document repositories of, among others, agreements and other legal documents, and liaising with relevant staff members for the collection of such documents; to record data of such documents in a meticulous and organized manner;

  •      To administer and manage the provision of all documentation (agreements etc) internally with staff members and third parties as guided by the Legal Services Manager/ Head and to liaise with other relevant staff members for the better execution of such duties

         To perform all that is required with regards to requests for information regarding Accounts and other assets of the Bank’s deceased customers, to extract information from the Bank’s systems, liaise with Branches/Unit for the collection of such data, prepare the relevant letter/s of reply with such data and maintain proper recording, in a timely and correct manner and as instructed;

 

       To perform all duties connected to the administration of matters regarding deceased customers/shareholders/bondholders, and liaising with the Malta Stock Exchange under the direction of the Legal Services Manager;

 

         To assist the Legal Services Manager/ Head in any exchange of correspondence as is needed and instructed;

 

         To assist in the administration of financial records for the payment of fees to contracted counterparties and liaise with the Finance Department as instructed by Head of Legal;

 

         To assist in the preparation of all that is required for the performance of the Unit duties and procedures stipulated in Bank Circulars as     instructed by the Legal Services Manager;

 

         To carry out all ancillary tasks to the above that may be assigned from time to time and other duties which do not necessarily appertain to the Legal Services Unit but which appertain to the Legal Department of which the Unit forms part.

 

 General Responsibilities

         To submit any reports and/or participate in any projects and activities as may be directed from time to time; 

         To ensure compliance with Bank’s policies, guidelines and underlying procedures at all times; 

         To ensure a high quality/standard of work and service throughout; 

         To perform standard office procedures including processing mail, answering phone calls, ordering supplies and filing; 

         To attend training as requested and perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
