Overall Purpose of the Position
To drive and perform the activities to develop, maintain and support the Bank’s Enterprise Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and Reporting Solutions, ensuring that the business has timely access to quality data in an efficient and effective manner and that our data stores are maintained in line with industry standards.
Operational Responsibilities
- To carry out all assigned tasks efficiently and effectively, in adherence with internal policies and procedures.
- To participate in the design and implementation of process improvements for the team.
- To participate in periodic system reviews to identify possible gaps and process inconsistencies and propose re-alignment strategies including the necessary training programmes.
Data Warehouse
- To assist in the architecture design and development of the Data Warehouse, including recoverability, resilience, data quality, data integrity and security in accordance with the Bank’s standards and industry best practices.
- To ensure that effective version control is maintained.
- To ensure, at all times, a current version of the documentation related to Data Warehouse architecture, data model and data dictionary.
- To monitor ETL jobs to guarantee maximum uptime and performance.
- To assist in the design and development of Data Warehouse integration with third party systems.
Business Intelligence and Reporting
- To assist in the design, development, and implementation of BI solutions.
- To assist our internal clients/end users in the definition of their business requirements.
- To create ad-hoc reports as per client/end user requirements.
- To assist/train end-users in the use of data query analysis and reporting tools.
- To promote the use of BI, BI initiatives, and Reporting tools.
General Responsibilities
- To build relationships and liaise with various stakeholders across the business to ensure cohesion and drive a collaborative work environment.
- To submit any reports and/or supervise any projects and activities as may be directed from time to time.
- To participate in the definition of an IT Governance framework and compliance.
- To assist their superior in the preparation of the Unit’s business plan and underlying budgets.
- To perform any duties that may be assigned to him/her from line management from time to time.
- To perform standard office tasks including processing mail, answering phone calls, ordering supplies, and filing.
The candidate must also be willing to work on call and travel on occasion to attend training/conferences or manage supplier relations.

Experience
- Knowledge of Data Warehouse and BI Concepts;
- Knowledge of ETL techniques (ideally MS SSIS and SAP Data Services);
- Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL and Transact-SQL;
- Knowledge of Data Reporting and KPIs (ideally MS SSRS and SAP Business Objects).
Qualification
- Possess a first degree level of education in IT or Engineering or equivalent specialised training in data warehousing and/or BI;
- MCSA in BI Development.

Experience
- Knowledge of programming languages (eg. C#, Python);
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps;
- Knowledge of OLAP tools (ideally MS SSAS).
Qualification
- Banking/ Accounting Qualification.
