Overall Purpose of the Position
Responsible for the Compliance Reporting function within the Credit Risk Unit.
Operational Responsibilities
- Assists in the compilation, collation and reporting of Credit related statistics, reports and statutory returns in a timely manner, for submission to Management, Central Bank of Malta and MFSA or other competent (regulatory) authorities, including the Ministry of Finance, Department of Social Security, Housing Authority and third-party services providers.
- Supports the reviews/corrections of LPSEOM Data and collaterals and other related statistics, as required from time to time by the Finance Department.
- Assists in the compilation, updating and submission of statutory statistical information relating to the Central Credit Register and reports relating to Real Estate credit facilities and/or other regulatory reports, as required from time to time, in a timely and correct manner.
- Compiles MDB and EIF returns and/or other reports which Regulatory Credit Risk is required to provide from time to time, in a timely and correct manner.
- Monitors the correctness in LPS of records relating to rescheduled loans and advances and borrowing customers Excluded from Auto grading in the ICBS core banking system and liaises with Credit Risk Unit on action/s to be taken by Branches/CBU (the 1st LoD) from time to time.
- Supports the Management Credit Committee and Board Credit Committee secretary in his / her duties in an effective and efficient way, including submitting resolutions to Branches/Teller less Branches and Commercial Business Units within two working days.
- Responsible for the Unit’s diary maintenance / actions and maintaining the filing systems up-to-date and chasing monitoring units.
General Responsibilities
- To submit any reports and activities as may be instructed from time to time.
- To ensure compliance with Bank’s policies, guidelines and underlying procedures at all times.
- To perform standard office procedures including processing mail, answering phone calls, filing, manage Unit’s database and order/manage stationary.
- To perform any other duties that may be reasonably assigned.

Experience

Experience in Regulatory Reporting is an asset.
Qualification
- Diploma level of Education relating to Finance, Banking or Insurance or at least six months’ working experience in a Banking environment.

Experience
- A 1 year working experience in a banking environment.
Qualification
- 1st Degree level in Finance, Banking or Insurance.
