Job Description

Overall Purpose of the Position

• Responsible for meeting the very tight deadlines for the Statutory Reporting through the submission of reporting deadlines.
• Be able to be a team player and align with the needs of the team.
• Together with the Statutory Reporting Manager, represents the Bank on the Technical Committee of the Malta Financial Services Authority as required from time to time.

Operational Responsibilities

• Liquidity & COREP statutory reporting.
• Preparing the Weekly Liquidity Reporting
• Prepares the Balance of Payment Statistics.
• Downloading the daily Additional Monitoring Matrix  reports.
• Producing the daily loan to deposit ratio for the Bank’s senior management.
• Perform ad-hoc reporting and other tasks assigned to him/her from time to time.
• Testing of new IT systems and updates to reflect the changes in regulations and returns.
• Part of the project team to implement the new system to automate Regulatory reporting.
• Keep constantly updated on European Banking regulations, interpreting and applying them.
• Liaises with IT staff regarding staff data requirements for statutory reporting.

General Responsibilities

• To promote teamwork within the regulatory reporting team and maintain a good working relationship with other units.
• To submit all regulatory reports to the authorities on a timely manner.
• To be abreast with regulatory changes coming into force from time to time.
• To perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time including projects.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

 Mandatory

 Skill

• Excel based related skills will be considered and asset. Training will also be provided on the job based on the outputs required. Analytical skills and attention to detail are also must.

Experience

• Experience in Finance/Regulatory environment. 

 Qualification

• Studying Economics / ACCA / Banking and Finance or equivalent.

Desirable

 Skill

• Ability to work under minimum supervision and meet the strict deadlines.
